About Us

The Belt and Road Initiative Research Institute is an international, high-end AI think tank based in Hong Kong with a global reach, founded by Nobel Laureates in Economics, world leaders, and leading scholars.

Today, the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation led by artificial intelligence is profoundly reshaping global economic and social development patterns. AI has moved from the innovation stage to large-scale application, transforming healthcare, education, agriculture, manufacturing, finance, transportation, energy, and governance. It is now a key driver of global economic growth and digital civilization advancement.

However, there is currently no international platform that systematically records, researches, and disseminates AI application practices worldwide. Key gaps include: - A global repository of AI use cases; - An international network for cross-border AI application monitoring; - A mechanism for sharing AI implementation experiences with developing countries; - Evaluation frameworks and international standards focused on real-world scenarios and social impact. In the context of accelerating global digital transformation and deepening international AI cooperation, establishing a platform that connects China, the United States, and other countries to advance AI research and knowledge sharing holds significant contemporary relevance and international value. This initiative will systematically consolidate global AI applications, deepen insights into China's AI achievements, foster international collaboration, and promote inclusive access to AI benefits.

To this end, we launched the "China-US AI Global Application Initiative" to build a global repository of AI application cases, an observation network for AI applications worldwide, and an ecosystem of AI application experts. This initiative aims to create a key international platform for sharing China's AI success stories with the world and to advance artificial intelligence as a new engine for global shared development.
